AI does not fix a confused commercial system
Automation multiplies the logic already inside the organization—including its contradictions.

Before automating a commercial workflow, leaders should ask whether its definition of value, ownership and exception is coherent enough to scale.
Automation preserves the argument
If marketing, sales and service use different definitions of opportunity, an AI layer will route and summarize those differences faster. It may reduce task time while increasing the speed at which poor assumptions enter forecasts, customer promises and capacity plans.
Start with the unit of decision
The useful design question is not “where can we use AI?” but “which decision or workflow changes enterprise economics?” That unit reveals the evidence, human judgment, controls and downstream dependencies the system must preserve.
Scale consequence, not demonstrations
A credible AI portfolio distinguishes individual assistance, workflow automation, decision augmentation and operating-model redesign. Each level needs a different value measure and control environment. Novelty is not a substitute for consequence.
